I heard “bae” for the first time the other week and it made me feel old! I am sure most of your slang is much better than things we used to say-quite a lot is regional too though right? I do find language amazing, like how many words we have in the English language for a bread roll, bun, roll, bap, plain scone, cob, barm cake…etc

Which generation do you mean – “this” implies there is only one covering all people alive.
In science the precise nature of questions and answers is important.

        Perhaps you mean “my generation”

If so then the Urban Dictionary App helps me get by when making school visits etc.
My kids are a bit too young to be using slang, but their generation may look at yours as old fashioned.

The way my generation talked when we were your age was “skill”

Slang is something that generally passes me by. I am not even sure if I used all that much when I was younger to be honest. Guess I’m just a bit boring in that regard!

I use slang all the time. I use hashtags in texts and I use LOL, LMAO, I have used bae in a funny way because I think it’s a silly word since babe is no harder to say than bae so what is the point?!
I think slang is naturally occurring at this point in time and we need to embrace a lot of it. Some of it is offensive though which I disagree with. Slang is fine if used in a text or chatting to your friends but do not use it in your homework or exams 😛
