I think I have quite a boring family to be honest. I guess the most impressive was that my great grandpa was given an honourary degree from Oxford University!

I haven’t looked into my family tree much to be honest. One of my far back relatives was born in a poorhouse, worked their way out but by the end of their life ended up back in the poor house which is pretty rubbish! I am much more interested in my living family though than members from so far back.

From the little I recall when my grandmother took an interest in the family tree, she traced six generations back all to the city of Bristol. Approximately 1900 some emigrated to the USA and to Australia, which means that I could have long lost cousins of some degree or another all around the world.

        Great question
I don’t know if it is “cool” but my family discovered criminal activity, someone jailed for selling substandard butter. Also that a believed lineage must be wrong due to mismatch of birth and death certificates (ie impossibly long pregnancy).

I think the most “cool” thin about all our family trees is we all go back to Mitocondrial Eve
