        Very good for relaxation! I think that havign a work life balance and finding time to think and relax is very important! I use the bath and sit and have candles and think. I have never meditated but think it would be great for me when I feel stressed! Is it something you do that you recommend?

        I don’t meditate regularly myself, although I have done it a few times. I know a lot of people find it a great way to relax and de-stress which I think is important. My university also provides meditation classes to help students relex during stressful periods like during exams.
        Basically however you do it everyone should be able to find a few ten minute periods each day to spend on themselves and not worrying about everything that is going on around them. If meditation works for you, keep doing it I say!

        I haven’t meditated, it is not something that is likely to work for me. I work better with directed distraction than clearing my mind. Simply not ever going to clear my mind, it fills with an avalanche of things far far too easily. That’s without questions here making me think!

        Meditation has been proven to be quite effective for destressing I believe. There is also some evidence to show that it affects brain waves to induce an altered state of consciousness.

        Personally I prefer a good book, but each to their own.
